My name is Ramon Diaz, and I am a proud child of an immigrant family from Mexico. My parents sacrificed a great deal to come to the United States to give me a better life.

I graduated from Adler University with my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My counseling approach focuses on a client’s worldview, culture, and attachment style. I take an existential and person-centered approach to therapy. My goal is to help the client develop connected relationships which foster joy, contentment, and human flourishing.

My areas of interest and experience including addiction, dissociation, trauma, attachment theory, and sport psychology, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, relationship issues, parent-child conflicts, anxiety & anger related to performance in school and in sport, self-esteem challenges, dissociation, and people with borderline personality disorder.

In my spare time, I enjoy writing scientific articles for blogs and journals. My favorite movie is a tie between My Best Friend’s Wedding and Pride and Prejudice (2006 edition). My favorite food is any type of meat that I can cook on my grill with the addition of chips and guacamole.
