Your story is uniquely written and every part of it is important.
I believe in creating a safe, empathetic and supportive environment where a trusting therapeutic relationship can be built and meaningful work can take place. In this therapy process, I strive to help you more fully understand your current issues, to support and challenge you along the way, to help you achieve your personal goals and live a more fulfilling life.
I hope that our collaborative efforts will be able to increase your self-understanding and resilience toward making positive changes in life. My orientation is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and my approach is individually customized by integrating various skills and modalities depending on your needs.
My clients are mostly ages 14 and older and my areas of focus include life transitions, sociocultural identities, relationships, abuse and trauma, grieve, maladaptive personality traits, anxiety, depression, addictions and work related stress. I conduct counseling sessions in English, Cantonese, and/or Mandarin. I studied both Psychology and Education at University of IL at Urbana-Champaign and have 10 years of experience as a teacher. I currently hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Moody Theological Seminary.
I look forward to hearing from you to take the first step in your healing process.
